More medals for the account! O Brazil won two more in the boxing competition of Pan American Games 2023 which take place in the city of Santiagoat the Chile. Beatriz Ferreira won gold for the second consecutive edition of the tournament, while Tatiana Chagas is the silver medalist.
The current Pan-American champion reaffirmed her hegemony in the medal dispute in a fight against the Colombian Angie Valdes, in the category up to 60kg. Bia got the better of a studied first round, with little exchange of blows and the Brazilian putting together the best sequences. The arbitration decision was split, winning 3-2. In the second round, Ferreira dominated, with a more aggressive performance, proving his superiority in the final round.

Tatiana Chagas was defeated by the Colombian Yeni Arias 3-2 in the final of the up to 50kg category. The Brazilian even won the first round, by referee decision and managed a narrow victory in the second round. However, Arias implemented an overwhelming pace in the last round, knowing he was at a disadvantage, attacking with urgency and landing blows in sequence, reversing the outcome of the fight.
