Russian heavyweight Grigori Ponomarev told that he will undergo knee surgery on October 30.
Former AMC Fight Nights champion Ponomarev suffered a serious knee injury in his ACA League debut against Muhumat Vakhaev on August 11 in the quarterfinals of the Heavyweight Grand Prix. In the first round, Ponomarev fell to his knees and left the cage on a stretcher; later on social media, the fighter reported that he was sure he would need surgery.
