Tyson Fury shares his thoughts on his gutsy victory over the former UFC champion.

Tyson Fury assured that he has the utmost respect for Francis Ngannou, prepared well for the fight with him, and will not talk about underestimating his opponent.

The Briton said he would not make excuses and admitted he had given an incredible performance.

“It wasn’t my best performance, but I won’t make excuses. I had a good training camp. I have no one to blame, no one stopped me. It was a tough battle. I got off the canvas to win. Yes, no excuses. I did worse than usual, but I’m not taking anything away from my opponent. You’re only as good as your opponent lets you be, and that’s a fact.

If I had listened to the media and the so-called boxing experts who said these were easy fights, mismatches not to watch, I would not have won this fight. No disrespect to Ngannou from my side. I trained for 12 weeks and prepared as much as I could, that’s all,” Fury told iFL TV.

We remind you that the British boxer found himself on the canvas in the third round of the fight with Ngannou, but in the end he still defeated the former MMA fighter by split decision.
