Athletistic/MMA. Russian UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev shared his opinion on a possible meeting with former Irish champion Conor McGregor. According to Makhachev, he is ready to meet McGregor if he manages to show good results in several fights after returning to MMA.

“A fight with McGregor? If he shows his worth and comes back and wins a few fights, then why not? I don’t think he deserves it. But if the UFC says so, why not?” – Makhachev commented in an interview for Match TV.

Throughout his career in mixed martial arts, the Irish fighter fought 28 fights, of which he won 22 and suffered six defeats. After the UFC 264 tournament in the summer of 2021, where he broke his leg during a fight with American Dustin Poirier, McGregor did not enter the ring.
