ONE Friday Fights 39 took place on Friday, November 3 at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The explosive card treated viewers to plenty of exciting finishes and breathtaking fights. There were 10 fights in Muay Thai and two in MMA.
Russian Vladimir Kuzmin scored a unanimous victory over Portugal’s Fabio Reis in a Muay Thai match in the adjacent 146-pound weight class. In his first fight in ONE, Russian Abdolla Dayakaev defeated Thai Detrit by decision.
Kuzmin treated Reis with confidence
A representative of the Archangel Michael team, Kuzmin, showed quick footwork and a wide arsenal of striking techniques. In the first round, he intercepted Race and dropped him with a straight right. In the following rounds, Reis tried to advance and land the winning blow, but Kuzmin stopped him. The Russian managed to increase his victory total to 19 (with three defeats).
Dayakaev won his debut with ONE
Dayakaev set the tone from the start of the fight by throwing Detritus with a right hand. In the second round, Detritus started to come alive, but in the third, Dayakaev took care of him. As a result, Dayakaev won by decision. His overall score became 8-1.
This tournament was a great warm-up for ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade, which took place immediately afterwards at the legendary Lumpini Stadium.
