Athletistic/ Boxing. Former undisputed world heavyweight champion, American Mike Tyson has spoken out about his incarceration, which lasted from 1992 to 1995.
“I spent the best three years of my life in prison. I found peace there. Money means nothing when you don’t have peace. You need common sense to handle any area of your life. In prison, I ran eight to nine miles. And at night I was running around my cell. I was 300 pounds and when I got out I was 98 pounds,” Tyson said.
On July 19, 1991, Mike Tyson was accused of raping 18-year-old model Desiree Washington, despite numerous disputed facts indicating the intimacy was consensual. On February 10, 1992, Tyson was sentenced to six years in prison, but was released early after three years in prison.
