Butaev and Gaibnazarov passed the weighing procedure before the fight in Sochi

Former Russian WBA regular champion Rajab Butaev and 2016 Olympic champion Fazliddin Gaibnazarov (11-1, KO 6) of Uzbekistan went through the weigh-in procedure on the eve of a face-off in the super middleweight division in Sochi.

Butaev’s weight was 69.7 kg, Gaibnazarov’s weight was 69.9 kg.

The Russian fighter has 14 victories and one defeat. In his last fight in April 2022, Butaev lost by split decision to Lithuanian Eimantas Stanionis and lost his regular WBA welterweight title. Gaibnazarov has 11 victories and one defeat. The 2016 Olympic champion and 2015 World and Asian Championships silver medalist entered the ring for the last time in December 2022.

Also within the framework of this show, a well-known fighter of the pop industry Timur Nikulin (82.8 kg), nicknamed Archangel, will have his boxing match, which will be opposed by Ibrahim Nikarho Islamov (81.8 kg). These fighters have already had a boxing match this year and Nikulin scored a quick victory in that fight thanks to Islamov’s disqualification.

The tournament will be broadcast live on November 6 in Sochi by the channel, the broadcast begins at 10:30 p.m. (Moscow time).
