The promoter plans to organize the fight in December or January
Promoter Eddie Hearn said that he was going to organize the next fight for the ex-world champion Anthony Joshua With Deontay Wilder or another boxer from the top 15.
“This will be a top fifteen guy. If it’s not Wilder, if it’s not a mega fight, then it has to be somebody that people are still interested in.”
“It’s either December or January. Every fighter prefers to fight in December to celebrate Christmas rather than prepare for a fight in January.”
Hearn’s promotion company has long been trying to organize a fight between Joshua and former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. Negotiations are going hard. The promoter complained that it was impossible to reach an agreement on a date. Eddie later said that the fight would not be his fault and that Wilder himself probably did not want the fight.
Joshua knocked out Robert Helenius in his last fight, which took place on August 12 in London. Deontay’s last opponent was also Helenius – the American won by knockout in the first round.
