Today, Makhachev took first place in the UFC rankings for the first time, ahead of the injured American Jon Jones.

“Praise be to the Almighty for everything we have,” Islam wrote on social media and posted a photo with the UFC championship belt in the company of his friend Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Islam Makhachev fought 26 fights in MMA, winning 25 times. His next opponent has not yet been announced.
