Athletistic/MMA. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order to rename the village of Kirovaul in Dagestan. It will be named in honor of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, the father of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Abdulmanap has trained many champions. Among his students is current UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
From now on, the village will be called Manapkala.

Khabib’s father was born in the village of Sildi and later moved to Kirovaul. The coach died in the summer of 2020 from complications related to the coronavirus.
