Russian Artem Osipenko won a gold medal at the 2023 World Sambo Championships, which are being held in Yerevan.
In the last match of the over 98 kg category, he beat Romanian Natae Ilie.
For Osipenko, this is the tenth medal of his career at the World Championships. He has already won the world championships in 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021.
The World Sambo Championships take place in Yerevan from November 10 to 12. Russian and Belarusian athletes participate in the tournament in neutral status.
