Russian Mukhtar Gamzaev has won a gold medal at the 2023 World Sambo Championships, which are being held in Yerevan.
Gamzaev participated in the sambo combat discipline. In the final fight of the weight category up to 58 kg, he defeated Nyamkhuu Togtokhbayar from Mongolia with a score of 1:0.
The World Sambo Championships take place in Yerevan from November 10 to 12. Russian and Belarusian athletes participate in the tournament in neutral status.
