Russian Egor Sukhoparov won a bronze medal at the 2023 World Sambo Championships, taking place in Yerevan.
In the fight for third place in the weight category up to 79 kg, Sukhoparov defeated Belarusian Alexander Koksha.
Russian Daria Rechkalova also became the bronze medalist of the World Championship, defeating the representative of Mongolia Battsul Altai in the weight category up to 80 kg.
The World Sambo Championships take place in Yerevan from November 10 to 12. Russian and Belarusian athletes participate in the tournament in neutral status.
