I’m very happy, I thank all the fans. It’s an honor to be fighting at Madison Square Garden, it’s fantastic. I’m very happy with this belt,” Poatan said.
“I’m never one to call anyone out, but I wanted a fight that’s interesting for me and I think it would be for everyone. He’s a person who somehow encouraged me when I was in a bar drinking. He said in a video that I was going to stay at the bar, but he rescued me. This guy also recently said that he was only going to fight again in 2027. The way he rescued me, I also wanted to rescue this guy, because he is a talent, he can’t stay still all this time. He is Adesanya. He can come now and fight for the belt. I know he’s a little strange, the champion challenging, but we still have a story to settle. Adesanya, come to daddy”added the Brazilian.
Alex, 36 years old, won his first belt in 2022, in the middleweight decision. A year later, he was UFC light heavyweight champion, in his seventh fight in the league. He has competed in Ultimate since 2021 and has victories over Jan BlachowiczJiri Prochazka, Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland.
