The UFC interim heavyweight title fight took place in New York and ended with Aspinall winning by first-round knockout. The win ended Pavlovich’s six-fight winning streak in the UFC.
Aspinall shared his feelings, calling the last two and a half weeks crazy. He called Pavlovich a big, scary guy and said he had never been as scared as he was before this fight. Aspinall also urged people not to be afraid to take a chance, even if they are afraid, because it can pay off.
The fight with Pavlovic was particularly difficult for Aspinall given the physical characteristics of his opponent. He noted that he struggled to go the distance given Pavlovic’s long arms, but eventually got the better of him and dedicated his victory to his father.
