Russian Mikhail Kashurnikov won gold at the World Sambo Championships in Yerevan.
Kashurnikov, who competes in combat sambo, became world champion in the weight category above 98 kg, defeating Cameroonian Makwell Janta in the final.
The bronze prizes were won by Delyan Alishahi (Bulgaria) and Talgat Zhientaev (Kazakhstan).
The World Sambo Championships take place in Yerevan from November 10 to 12. Russian, Belarusian and French athletes participate in the tournament in neutral status.
