WBA Russian light heavyweight champion Dmitri Bivol will defend his title in a fight against Briton Lyndon Arthur on December 23 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), reports ESPN.
According to the publication, this fight will take place under the card. Also tonight, former world heavyweight champions, Briton Anthony Joshua and American Deontay Wilder, will face off. Joshua’s opponent will be the Swede Otto Wallin, Wilder’s opponent will be the New Zealander Joseph Parker.
WBA champion Bivol, 32, has 21 victories in the professional ring (11 by KO). Last year, the Russian defended his belt twice, defeating Mexicans Saul Alvarez (in May) and Gilberto Ramirez (in November), and was recognized by the WBA as boxer of the year. Arthur is 32 years old and has 23 victories and one defeat.
