Joe Joyce could fight Wilder

The fight could take place on September 24

Undefeated British boxer Joe Joyce (14-0, 13 KOs) could take on the former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (42-2, 41 KOs).

Joseph’s promoter Frank Warren said that the fight between Deontay and Joyce is very real. According to him, the organization of the fight will not take a lot of resources.

“I have no problem organizing this fight [Уайлдер — Джойс]. Absolutely no problem. Why don’t we try and make this fight?” Warren said.

“Joe will fight on September 24th. We are working on our opponents. We worked on it before the fight [с Хаммером], hoping he could handle it, which he did. We want to announce something for him early next week.”

Wilder fought his last fight last fall, losing to Fury by knockout in the 11th round. In 2020, the American lost the WBC championship belt to Tyson, having suffered the first defeat in his career.

The other day, Joyce won the 13th early victory in the professional ring, stopping the German Christian Hammer in the fourth round. In a duel with Hammer, Joyce defended the WBO International and WBC Silver heavyweight belts.

In September, Joyce may fight with Joseph Parker, which was originally scheduled for July. Estimated date for Joyce’s next fight is September 24th.

Joseph also expressed his readiness to fight the winner of the rematch between Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk and Briton Anthony Joshua.
