President of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Umar Kremlev and Pope Francis stressed the unity of religions and nationalities and discussed the power of sport during a meeting at the Vatican on Wednesday, according to website IBA.
The IBA chief and head of the Catholic Church also emphasized that boxing unites a common humanity fighting for peace.
— Faith and sport must always go hand in hand and in the same direction. Likewise, every athlete must be spiritually saturated, and every believer must monitor his health.
For each of its participants, athlete, coach, civil servant, IBA is a temple of boxing, where everyone can receive warmth, care, protection and family assistance.
We fight for world peace and the complete unity of all people. Believe, and then the world will certainly be brighter and kinder, and you will be full of grace. Amen,” said Umar Kremlev.
