Alvarez and Golovkin will fight on September 17 for the title of undisputed world champion in the second middle weight category
Undisputed World Super Middleweight Champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (57-2-2, 37 KOs) shared his expectations for the third fight against Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs).
“Golovkin is trying to impersonate another person, he has no balls. I hate these people,” said Canelo.
“Before the third fight, I feel more mature, more powerful. This will make a big difference in the ring. I have two fights in my head right now – rematches with Golovkin and Bivol. These are the two fights in which I see a confident future.”
Alvarez and Golovkin will fight on September 17 for the title of undisputed world champion in the second middle weight category. The fight will take place in Las Vegas.
The first fight between Canelo and Golovkin in September 2017 ended in a draw. A year later, the Mexican won by split decision.
In May, Alvarez suffered the second defeat of his career, losing to Russian Dmitry Bivol in a fight for the world light heavyweight title.
Golovkin fought his last fight in April, defeating Japan’s Reta Murata via TKO to unify two middleweight titles.
