Athletistic/MMA. The title of Bellator champion in the lightweight category (up to 70 kg) could go to the Russian fighter Usman Nurmagomedov, who became the owner of this title, but did not pass doping control.

Bellator President Scott Coker told MMA Fighting that the final decision to retain the title will be made after receiving the results of a new sample analysis.

Nurmagomedov’s manager, Ali Abdel-Aziz, said that regardless of the outcome of the doping test, Nurmagomedov plans to replay Brent Primus, whom he defeated in the semifinals of the Bellator Grand Prix tournament.

Bellator commentator John McCarthy also confirmed the news that Nurmagomedov remains a promotion fighter.
