The famous promoter Bob Arum spoke about the plan for the upcoming fights from the Ukrainian boxer.
Vasiliy Lomachenko and Shakur Stevenson could meet in the ring next year. Well-known promoter Bob Arum thinks so. An official representing the interests of Ukrainian boxers said that the fight would take place if both boxers beat their next opponents.
Lomachenko must first defeat former absolute world champion George Kambosos in Australia.
“Our plan is for Vasily to try to win the world title in Australia against Kambosos and then fight in the unification fight.
Shakur Stevenson will fight Lomachenko next year, but I can’t say that this will be his next opponent.
The plan was for Lomachenko to fight in Australia. This is what we are doing now. The match is scheduled to take place in the first quarter of next year. I don’t know the exact date, but in the first quarter,” ProBox TV quotes Arum as saying.
