Resumption of the exhibition match between the former world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. and John Gotti will take place in February 2024.
Mayweather announced the fight on social media; The fight will take place during the week of the Super Bowl, the finale of the National Football League (NFL) American football season. The exact date and location of the fight have not been announced.
The first fight between Mayweather and Gotti took place in Sunrise (Florida, USA) in June. In the sixth round, Gotti pinned Mayweather against the ropes, after which the referee decided to stop the fight. There was a verbal altercation between the boxers, then a fight broke out which lasted several minutes. Gotti was subsequently suspended by the Florida State Boxing Commission for six months.
In the professional ring, Mayweather, 46, had 50 victories in 50 fights and owned championship belts in five weight classes. Gotti is the grandson of the head of the American mafia family, John Gotti.
