MMA fighter Vladimir Mineev will return to the SVO zone in early December

Russian MMA fighter and kickboxer Vladimir Minev in a post-fight interview with Ivan Shtyrkov, he indicated when he would return to the SVO zone, where he had previously served after receiving a summons.

On November 18 in Sochi, Mineev defeated Ivan Shtyrkov by unanimous decision in a fight according to kickboxing rules. In September 2022, in an interview with , Mineev said he received a summons as part of the mobilization, and in February 2023 he joined the armed forces serving in the Northern Military District zone. At the moment, Mineev, as he himself clarified, is on vacation, which allowed him to prepare and fight with Shtyrkov.

— You left for the Northern Military District in February, but from then on you were able to fight two battles. Are you gaining or losing shape?

— The form is only lost, the sense of distance, the sense of time disappears. These are specific skills that require constant training to develop. And what I do now, I do because in this way I have the opportunity to help children, since most of the income from this fight will go to Peter’s fund (Peter Mineev, the brother of the fighter, died in the first days of the Northern Military District), we will help the children of Donbass, and another part will be used to buy the guys of the Northern Military District what they really need: FPV drones, armored vehicles and other funny things.

— What will the next month or two look like for you?

— My business trip starts in December.

— Were you able to return home?

“I went there several times for 4-5 days,” reports the correspondent, according to Mineev’s words.
