Wilder: I should be headlining December 23rd show, people want to see knockouts

The order of fights of the double boxing evening will be determined by the organizers from Saudi Arabia.

Former World Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder said he should headline a double boxing event with the former world champion Anthony Joshua.

“The Saudis will determine the order of the battles. The only thing I’m not sure about is whether I’ll be the main event or whether Joshua will be the main event. I asked them to flip a coin. Let’s see what happens.”

“I feel like I should be the headliner because of what I bring. People want to see knockouts. We know for sure, if you want to see it, who should you take? I always say that women lie, men lie, but the numbers don’t lie. They want a knockout king, a shaking body on the platform and all that crap.”

Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua will hold a joint boxing evening on December 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Deontay will fight Joseph Parker, and AJ will fight Swedish heavyweight Otto Wallin. The event is expected to bring closer the conclusion of a contract for the fight between the two former champions.

Joshua knocked out Robert Helenius in his last fight, which took place on August 12 in London. Wilder’s last opponent was also Helenius – the American won by knockout in the first round.
