Former MMA fighter Jeff Monson who has Russian nationality, expressed confidence that the former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov would have continued to set new records had he not retired.
Nurmagomedov finished his professional career in 2020. He remained undefeated inside the Octagon, where he had 29 victories in 29 fights.
— Khabib is the best fighter of his generation. Of course, I miss his performances a lot. The UFC needs a fighter like this. I’m sure he would have continued to win and break records because he got better and better.
But Khabib retired because there are more important values in his life, like family, which are more important than fame and money, Monson told Sport24.
