Warren: Fury wants rematch with Ngannou, and Francis wants it too

The promoter expects that in the future he will be able to organize the second fight of the “Gypsy King” with the former UFC champion

Promoter Frank Warren said that the WBC heavyweight title holder Tyson Fury and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou both want a rematch in the future.

“I think there is a good chance that this will happen. I don’t know if that’s next for Fury. It’s like jumping too far ahead. Let’s deal with the big thing with Oleksandr Usyk first, and then see where we go.

“But I think it will happen. Tyson told me he wants a rematch, and I know Ngannou wants it because we met after the fight and had a pretty long conversation. He’s a really good guy, he’s got a good team around him and I’m quite confident we’ll do it again.”

Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.

The Usik-Fury fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion will officially take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Initially, the event was planned to be organized on December 23. However, it later became clear that the “Gypsy King” would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.
