Holyfield: Usyk is faster than Fury, I think he will win

The ex-world champion believes that the Briton cannot cope with the speed of the Ukrainian

Former absolute world champion in two weight categories Evander Holyfield believes that the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO title holder Alexander Usik will defeat the WBC champion Tyson Fury due to its speed.

“Fury’s performance against Ngannou was not good. Perhaps he took his victory for granted. And life shows you that if you take something for granted, it can backfire on you. I think it backfired on Fury. I hope he will draw conclusions after this fight.”

“The Fury-Usyk fight will be difficult for both. I think Usik will win because Alexander is a tough fighter who doesn’t give up and he’s faster. I don’t think Tyson Fury can handle the amount of punches he’s going to throw.”

The Usik-Fury fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion will officially take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Initially, the event was planned to be organized on December 23. However, it later became clear that the “Gypsy King” would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.

Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.

Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.
