John Fury believes that Tyson should act outside the box in the fight for the title of absolute world champion.
Tyson Fury will have to change his style to defeat Alexander Usik in the fight for the title of absolute world champion. This is what the father of WBC super heavyweight title holder John Fury said.
In his opinion, the Ukrainian WBA, WBO and IBF champion is too cunning, so his son should not act in the usual simple aggressive style, but must defeat the Ukrainian.
“Tyson is getting more punches than his entire career. This could shorten his career. That’s what worries us. Tyson is a unique person, but sometimes he needs to listen to common sense.
Usik is a cunning fighter. To beat him, you have to be at your best. In his current style, Tyson won’t do this trick. In his mind, he believed he could completely knock anyone out. But no fighter in the world can keep up with such heavy blows. Tyson couldn’t stand them anymore, because after that, even one jab could put you down suddenly. You have to be smart and beat Usik with your brains rather than your muscles,” Metro quotes John Fury as saying.
It was previously reported that the WBC sanctioned the Usyk-Fury fight on the condition that there would be a rematch.
