Former UFC champion Anderson Silva believes doping could be legalized to prevent injuries among professional fighters.
Anderson Silva is 48 years old, the Brazilian has 34 wins and 11 losses in MMA, he held the UFC middleweight championship belt from 2006 to 2013.
— The type of training that an MMA fighter undergoes is completely different from that of any other martial arts athlete… You have to train in boxing, jiu-jitsu, wrestling… He was a time when everyone got hurt. If you take something as prescribed by your doctor and it doesn’t get out of hand, you won’t hurt yourself. I’m all for testing during fight week. If your doping test comes back positive during fight week, you’re screwed,” Silva said according to Lowkickmma.
