On December 9 during the ONE Fight Night 17 tournament, a Russian fighter Dmitry Menshikov (28-2) will meet Moroccan star Muhsin Chafi (31-5) in a Muay Thai rules fight in the ONE lightweight division (77.1 kg).
Menshikov, 26, made his ONE debut with a loss to champion Regian Ayersil, but he bounced back in September by knocking out Thai fighter Rungravi Sitsongpinong in the first round.
Menshikov, who represents the Prokopyevsk Muay Thai school, has 28 victories. Among them, 20 were won by knockout.
The Moroccan, nicknamed the Killer, has a slight advantage in anthropometry (height, weight, arm span). Chafee, 26, is a former WBC European Muay Thai middleweight champion. He will fight for the second time within the ONE Championship. In his first fight on November 4, he lost to Thai star Sinsamut Klinmee.
