The idea for the fight arose after a conversation between John Fury and Jones in Saudi Arabia
British boxer Tommy Fury (10-0, 4 KO), brother of WBC heavyweight titleholder Tyson Fury, is in talks for an exhibition fight with the former multi-division world champion Roy Jones.
The father of the boxing family, John Fury, spoke about this. According to him, at first there was a joking conversation during Tyson Fury’s boxing evening with Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia. Later, the parties moved on to more serious discussions.
“We’re talking to Roy Jones Jr.; we can do something with him. I have some thoughts on this matter. Roy Jones Jr. is a great guy. He’s a great guy, a tough guy and a great Hall of Famer.”
Tommy Fury last fought in October. The Briton defeated blogger KSI by majority decision.
