The Ukrainian lost the championship title to Bellator
Former Bellator welterweight champion Yaroslav Amosov told how the defeat from Jason Jackson. The Ukrainian analyzed his performance and intends to return to the winning path.
“Immediately after the fight, I was sure that this was the end of my sports career. It turns out that defeat is very difficult. The next day strange things started happening to me. Situations that indicated to me that this was a great experience for me and that I should return. Your support also played a very important role. I thought a lot, analyzed, drew conclusions… I found reasons and mistakes… Give me a little time and I will return, delighting our country with my victories.
“PS I live by the motorcyclist’s rule: “he broke it, but they collect you.” That is, always be responsible for everything yourself,” Amosov wrote on Instagram.
Amosov lost to Jackson as part of the Bellator 301 tournament and lost the championship title. In the third round, the Ukrainian received a heavy blow, which Jason took advantage of and began to finish off his opponent. The judge stopped the fight, awarding the victory to the Jamaican fighter.
Amosov suffered the first defeat in his professional career. The Ukrainian has held the Bellator championship title since 2021 and made one successful defense in a fight with Logan Storley.
