Legendary former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson considers the WBC belt holder Tyson Fury favorite for the fight with the world champion according to WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO Alexander Usik.
“I’m looking forward to this fight. I choose Tyson Fury, I think he will beat him, catch him and beat him. I think so, but I could be wrong.”
“The little guys are hard to fight, they’re harder to hit because they’re smaller. Usik runs a lot and moves a lot. Tyson will probably need a few rounds to get used to his timing, but it will be difficult. Alexander is very small and very fast.”
The Usik-Fury fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion will officially take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Initially, the event was planned to be organized on December 23. However, it later became clear that the “Gypsy King” would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.
Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.
