Former world champion Frampton: Usyk is very elusive, he is a different type of fighter, but Fury has a plan for the fight

Karl prefers “The Gypsy King”

Former two-weight world champion Carl Frampton made a prediction for a unification fight in the heavyweight division between Alexander Usik And Tyson Fury. He paid tribute to the Ukrainian’s skill in the ring, but believes that the victory will go to the “Gypsy King”.

“Fury had good fights. Of course, in terms of the quality of the opponents he faced, the fights with Klitschko and Wilder stand above the rest. But I believe that Usyk will create other problems for him. He moves a lot more, he’s smaller and faster. The antennae is very elusive. He’s just a completely different type of fighter. But Tyson Fury has a plan for the fight. SugarHill Steward will try to cope with everything that Usyk shows.”

“I’m just excited about a really good fight. This is a really good fight. I’m looking forward to it. I still think Fury is the favorite despite being disappointed with his performance against Francis Ngannou. He didn’t look like himself. But I think when Fury is on fire, he’s very hard to beat.”

The fight between WBC heavyweight title holder Fury and WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO world champion Usyk will officially take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Initially, the event was planned to be organized on December 23. However, it later became clear that the “Gypsy King” would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.

Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.

Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.
