Haye: If Joshua doesn’t win I’m not sure if he wants to stay in the sport

Rematch against Usyk – August 20

Former world champion David Haye predicts that Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) could end his career if he loses a rematch against the WBA/WBO/IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs).

“If he doesn’t win, then I’m not sure if he wants to stay in the sport knowing he’s not the best. If he does everything right, and Usyk still beats him, then I don’t know if it makes sense for him to do something in sports, ”said Haye.

“He is a winner by nature, so I don’t know what he will do next if he loses again. He believes that he has all the physical capabilities to defeat Usyk, I think so too. With the right plan, he can win.”

“I think that his performance this time cannot be worse than in the first fight. From the point of view of tactics and plan for the battle, it could not be worse. I’m sure Robert Garcia won’t let that happen.”

“Change is good. He just needs to win this fight to get back on top of the world.”

Usyk’s second fight against Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Jeddah. WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles will be at stake.
