British fighter Tom Aspinall said he had a secret weapon in reserve for a duel with a Russian Sergei Pavlovich .
Aspinall knocked out Pavlovich in the first round in November to become the UFC interim heavyweight champion.
“Honestly, I think I could have gone all five rounds.” I would be fine. I don’t want to give it all away, but I have a secret weapon that only my training partners know about. I’m getting better with each round. To be honest, at first I’m not very good, but as the fight progresses I get much better,” Aspinall said, as quoted by MmaNews.
For the Russian, this defeat was the second of his career. He previously lost in his UFC debut in November 2018, when he lost to Alistair Overeem in the first round. All eight of Pavlovich, 31,’s UFC fights ended in the first round.
