Khomutov vs. Feiertex
In the co-main event of the tournament under Muay Thai rules in the ONE bantamweight division (65.8 kg), Kirill Khomutov met Thai star Ferrari Fairtex. The fight lasted the entire distance. In the first round, Ferrari controlled the situation, knocking down his opponent and making it difficult for him to move. The Russian responded with punches, preventing Fairtex from relaxing.
In the second round, the 26-year-old Thai boxer continued to dry out Khomutov’s legs, work his lower body and use his distance well, keeping his opponent at bay. In the only kickboxing fight at ONE bantamweight (65.8 kg), Elbrus of Dagestan Samurai Osmanov won a unanimous decision over former kickboxing world title challenger Zhang Chenglong. This victory was the fourth in a row for Osmanov in the ONE Friday Fights series.
The 22-year-old Russian bombarded his Chinese opponent with numerous attacks for nine minutes, throwing spinning kicks and unleashing all his striking power on Chenglong. Zhang fought back, trying to match Osmanov’s level and intensity, but was never able to take the lead in the fight.
After three intense rounds, all three ringside judges awarded the victory to Osmanov. The representative of Team Mehdi Zatout/Akhmat Kickboxing maintained his record. He now has ten victories and zero defeats.
Zakirov versus Sulemanov
Both opponents entered this fight undefeated, but one of them had to give up zero at the end of the fight. A fighter from Uzbekistan, Sanzhar Tornado Zakirov, fought with Zainudin Black Tiger Suleymanov under MMA rules in ONE strawweight (56.7 kg). This fight had everything that makes MMA a spectacular sport: difficult exchanges, point-blank entries, submission attempts.
The judges decided that Zakirov had caused the most damage over the three rounds of the fight and awarded him the victory unanimously. Zakirov now has nine victories and no defeats.
