The ONE Championship League announced that a fighter from Krasnodar, Artem Belakh (9-2), will participate in the first numbered tournament of 2024. The ONE Fight Night 18 tournament in Bangkok will take place early in the morning of January 13 (Moscow time) .
The fight will take place in the ONE bantamweight division (65.8 kg) at the Lumpini Stadium. Belakh’s opponent will be 34-year-old Mongolian fighter Enkh-Orgyl Baatarkuu (10-2), who has successfully fought three fights in ONE since April this year. He won two victories earlier than expected. In his homeland, he won the reality show “Road to ONE: Mongolia”. Enkh-Orgyl dominated all ten episodes of the series, eliminating his opponent in the finals and landing a contract with ONE worth $100,000.
Belach won his ONE debut by decision over league veteran Leandro Issa last October. But in the second fight an unsuccessful outcome awaited him: he lost by technical knockout to Kwon Won Il. After this fight, hand surgery and a long recovery were required, but Belakh is now ready to return to the ring.
