The former world champion considers Tyson a better boxer than Alexander
Former world champion in three weight categories James Toney made his prediction for the fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion between the Ukrainian Alexander Usik and British Tyson Fury.
“Fury. Easy,” was Tony’s laconic answer to the question of who would win the upcoming battle.
“Fury is the best boxer. He is a better boxer and more aggressive. Usyk is a good boxer, but he is not aggressive, he boxes to stay safe,” James added.
Tony previously criticized both participants in the fight for the undisputed title.
The fight between WBC heavyweight title holder Fury and WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO world champion Usyk will officially take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Initially, the event was planned to be organized on December 23. However, it later became clear that the “Gypsy King” would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.
Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.
Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.
