The former world champion expressed doubts that the British boxer will be able to train during the holidays.
Tyson Fury could not resist the temptation to properly celebrate the Christmas and New Year holidays, so the fight for the title of absolute world champion was once again postponed. Former world champion Carl Froch thinks so.
In his opinion, if the holder of the WBC heavyweight title allows himself too much, he will definitely not get the necessary shape on February 17.
“And you think Tyson Fury will celebrate Christmas and New Year without stopping, without drinking and without overeating? You see, he doesn’t need to gain weight, but still has a certain optimal weight, and Tyson will no doubt put on a few pounds.. some character traits he will need to have before the fight.
But it will be difficult to do. Tyson has a beautiful family – a wife and seven children. He wants to relax and have fun. Does he want to train for Christmas and New Years? And he will need to do so if he intends to prepare for the fight in February. But I’m not sure about it. I assume the fight will be postponed to March. I’ll be the first to tell you this,” Boxing Social quoted Froch as saying.
Let’s remember that former famous coach Teddy Atlas named Usik’s main advantage over Fury.
