Athletistic / Boxing. Irish athlete Tegan Healy Farrelly, a member of the Irish boxing team, refused to fight with Russian Vladislava Filina. The athletes were scheduled to meet in the octagon during the 1/8 finals of the Junior World Championships held in Yerevan (Armenia).
Farrelly refused to fight the Russian representative. As a result, Silina automatically qualified for the quarterfinals of the competition.

Media reports that the National Boxing Federation of Ireland has banned its athletes from fighting Russian opponents. The organization called on Irish boxers to refuse to compete.
