The new date and location of the fight between the WBA bantamweight title holder, the Ukrainian, have become known Artem Dalakyan and mandatory applicant Seyigo Akuyi from Japan.
The fight is officially scheduled for January 23, 2024. It will take place in the Japanese city of Osaka.
Let us remind you that initially Dalakyan and Akuyi were supposed to fight on the undercard of the Takuma Inoue – Jerwin Ancajas fight on November 15 in Tokyo. However, the fight was postponed indefinitely due to an injury suffered by Inoue Jr.
Dalakyan, 36, won the world title in 2018. Artem had his last fight in January 2023 against Costa Rican David Jimenez. The fight lasted all 12 rounds, the judges unanimously gave the victory to the Ukrainian.
