Krasyuk: Usyk has three more years to show better results

The promoter explained under what conditions the Ukrainian world champion could retire

Alexander Krasyukpromoter of the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Alexandra Usikasaid that the Ukrainian does not plan to end his career in the near future and expects to be at the top of world boxing for about three more years.

“He is now 36 and still has three years to show his best results. The only concern or concern we have is possible health problems. If his body is still ready to fight, then I don’t think he’s going to retire.”

“I have been communicating with Oleksandr Usyk since his first professional fight in 2013 and we have been very close to each other for the last 10 years. He is a young kid at heart and has never thought about retiring. It’s hard to really imagine how difficult it is for a fighter to leave boxing.”

Usyk will fight his next fight with WBC champion Tyson Fury. The Usik-Fury fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion will officially take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Initially, the event was planned to be organized on December 23. However, it later became clear that the “Gypsy King” would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.

Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.
