Deiveson Figueiredo got the better of the last night of UFC, in which he made his debut in the bantamweight category. The former flyweight champion triumphed against Rob Font, by points, in a unanimous decision (triple 30-27) and has the promise of being one of the big names in the division. After the fight, the fighter took the opportunity to joke about his own performance.
“I’m a little sad because I think I didn’t put on a great show tonight, I think I should have had more striking. I feel very happy to have moved up a category. I fought at flyweight for a long time, but bantamweight is now my category.”, stuck. Much of the duel was fought standing up, with intense blows from the Brazilian that destabilized the North American.
