Mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Jeff Monson said he felt like a Russian person.
– Now I’m not an American person, that’s the past, I’m a Russian person. I live in Russia, in Ufa, this is my home, – 51-year-old Monson said at a press conference before the fight against Vyacheslav Datsik.
Born in the United States, Monson obtained Russian citizenship in 2018. During his MMA career, he had 60 wins, suffered 26 losses, one fight ended in a draw.
Monson’s fight with Datsik is set to take place in August in Moscow.
