Athletistic/ Boxing. The International Boxing Association (IBA), during the next congress taking place these days in Dubai (UAE), has decided to exclude several countries from its organization.
At the meeting, 81% of votes were cast in favor of excluding the Czech Boxing Association from the IBA. Previously, associations from Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden were officially excluded. It should be noted that Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden themselves have already announced their withdrawal from the jurisdiction of the International Boxing Association.
On June 22, 2023, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) held a vote, following which it announced the derecognition of the IBA. In 2019, the IOC temporarily revoked the IBA’s recognition status due to economic problems and the organization’s management crisis, and presented demands for reforms.
