Chukhadzhyan: If I want to become a champion, I have to beat Spence. It will be difficult, but I think about it

In early July, the Ukrainian defended the IBF Inter-Continental welterweight title.

IBF Inter-Continental welterweight title holder Karen Chukhadzhyan (21-1, 11 KOs) spoke about his goals and about the opponents with whom he would like to enter the ring.

Ukrainian boxer thinks about a possible fight with the world welterweight champion according to WBC, WBA and IBF Errol Spence (28-0, 22 KOs).

“In any case, you still imagine yourself in the ring with these guys [Кроуфорд, Спенс]because they are champions and you go to them. According to the IBF champion now – Spence, so in my head: ‘If I want to become a champion, you have to beat Spence’. Of course, it will be difficult, but I think about it,” Chukhadzhyan said.

“I am for it”. And with Jaron Ennis I would like to box, and with Connor Benn – with pleasure. If there is an opportunity to fight someone of high quality like Thurman, I would also like to. With those who were already champions, to feel the level of people who were already on Olympus.

Chukhadzhyan had his last fight in early July. Karen defeated Australian Blake Minto to defend his IBF Inter-Continental title.

In April, Spence defeated Yordenis Ugas in a unification bout for the WBC, WBA and IBF welterweight titles. After the fight, the American challenged WBO world champion Terence Crawford.
