Athletistic/Boxing. Former absolute boxing champion Konstantin Tszyu expressed the opinion that the Olympic Games would not be complete without the participation of Russian athletes.

On Friday, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that Russian and Belarusian athletes who successfully qualify will be admitted to the 2024 Summer Olympics in individual neutral status. So far, only eight Russian athletes have qualified.

Tszyu noted that boxing will be able to continue to exist without the Olympics, but without boxing, the Olympics, in his opinion, will not be complete. He expressed concern that the competition would lose its meaning without the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes and that the whole world would suffer.

Tszyu stressed that sport should be freed from politics and athletes should not suffer from political decisions.
