Russian boxer Yevgeny Tishchenko defeated German Leon Hart in the co-main event of the IBA Night of Champions tournament in Dubai.
In the sixth round, after being hit by Tishchenko, the German fell to the floor of the ring and could not reach the count of 10. Thus, the Russian won by knockout.
Tishchenko, 32, won the vacant WBA belt in the new weight category up to 101.6 kg. The 2016 Olympic champion currently occupies first place in the BoxRec rankings in the cruiserweight division among Russian boxers. Tishchenko has 13 victories and one defeat in the professional ring.
In the main fight of the IBA Night of Champions tournament, Russian Albert Batyrgaziev will later meet Cuban Lazaro Alvarez. The fights are broadcast live on the federal television channel , as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
